What is therapeutic coaching? Think less life coaching, more structured, goal-focussed support with some of the depth and insight of therapy.
Coaching is a warm, validating space for you to identify patterns, break habits, consider new perspectives and move forward with renewed clarity and confidence in both your personal and professional life. We can work together face to face (including outdoors), or online.
My coaching offers support with many issues including:
Improved self-confidence and fulfilment
Keeping you accountable to your goals
Boundaries and self-care strategies
Focus and time management
Relationships
Change and transition
Creativity
Coaching is rooted more in the here and now and moving forward than in exploring the past. It can work well if you’re already in therapy (some of my coaching clients already have therapists), but this is not a pre-requisite. If we start coaching and find therapy would be beneficial for you, I can help you access it.
I work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and professions, and have an understanding of how intersectional factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, class, sexual orientation, ability/disability, age, religion etc impact our wellbeing and how we show up in the world. I bring lived experience of the challenges faced by people of the global majority. My focus is to support you in celebrating your own talents and unique identity.
I understand the exhilarating, yet also unpredictable and highly competitive nature of the creative industries and the specific issues creatives face – career and financial instability, performance and social anxiety, fame and social media, touring and working hours, issues around professional and personal relationships, the creative process, burnout and self-doubt.
Whatever stage you’re at, coaching can be highly efficient in helping you thrive, not just survive, as you build the career and the life you really want.
Come as you are – we’ll work it out together.
