My goal is to for you to feel heard, seen and validated, with us collaborating to shape how sessions progress. I am here to support you as you work towards building the life you want.
Whatever issues you’re facing, therapy can support you with tools to navigate the way forward, and a stronger, more authentic sense of who you are.
I work with two main approaches. One is Transactional Analysis (TA), which offers clients a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships with others. The other is Integrative, which means I aim to support clients in integrating the different parts of themselves, resulting in a stronger sense of self. I value a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation of successful therapy.
My work also focuses on developmental patterns beginning in childhood, attachment styles, and intersectional and systemic factors i.e. exploring how social and political identities such as race, ethnicity, gender, class, sexual orientation, ability/disability, age, religion etc overlap creating unique ways in which we experience discrimination and privilege, and how this impacts our mental health and wellbeing.
Eco-therapy, with therapist and client side by side outdoors in natural spaces, invites our relationship with nature into the therapeutic process. This can be a powerful way of working, and some clients prefer it as a liberating alternative to more traditional therapy approaches.
